Twins & Followers
The card game also known as Njuka. Draw and discard until your four cards make one twin and one follower. First to win 3 rounds takes the game.
Rules
- One 52-card deck, no jokers. Everyone is dealt 3 cards, and one card is turned face up to start the discard pile.
- On your turn, draw one card from the deck (you can't take from the discard pile), then discard one card face up.
- A twin is two cards of the same rank: 8♠ 8♦. A follower is two cards in sequence, any suits: 4♣ 5♥, 10 J, Q K. Ace goes with both 2 and King.
- The moment the four cards in your hand after drawing are one twin plus one follower, you win the round automatically. Two twins ("crush") don't count.
- When the deck runs out, the discard pile (except its top card) is shuffled to make a new one.
- Rounds alternate who goes first. First to 3 round wins takes the game.
- If your turn timer runs out, the game plays for you: it draws, and discards the drawn card. Three timeouts in a row forfeits.
